Dancing With The Stars
February 15 is our annual fund raiser for A Special Wish Foundation. This foundation grants a wish to a child with a life threatening disease. This dress up event is held at the Schuster Center in downtown Dayton. We have a live band, DJ, Silent Auction, cash bar, food and dancing. The evening is capped off with our own Dancing With The Stars competition!! Three Male stars and three Female stars are paired with local dance professionals to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy. The real winner are the kids. Last year we raised over $73,000.00 for the cause. The cost for tickets are $100.00 p.p. and all proceeds go towards the foundation. Tickets must be purchased in advanced by Feb.4. You can sign up at Elegance In Dance. The event has been sold out for the past four years. Last year we had to turn away 120 people! So get your tickets soon.
50+ DanceSport Challenge
The 4th Annual 50+ DanceSport Challenge will take place on Saturday March2, 2013. This is a ballroom competition for dancers fifty and better. The competition is part of the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio and is organized by Terry Cavanaugh and Mike Lorz. The competition starts at 8:00 am till 6:pm. The evening is a dance open to the public starting at 7:00 pm. This is the only dance competition of it's kind in the world.
